Empty Bowls is a worldwide grassroots initiative that began in 1990 to help fight hunger.
CAC Ceramists create food-safe bowls and the CAC Culinary Arts students serve a simple meal of soup and bread to represent soup kitchen meals. For a minimum donation of $15 each (cash at door only), guests may choose a bowl to use and keep, as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. There will also be soft beverages and desserts included. Proceeds benefit local food banks.
