Job Summary

• Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, maintains a regular maintenance schedule and upkeep on company trucks. Pick up food for the pantry and scheduled donations for the store. Local travel only to Casa Grande, Stanfield, and Arizona City.  Assist with other tasks as needed including weekly facility maintenance.

Job Duties

• Drive a nine (9) ton truck to pick up and deliver food, furniture, and other items as directed.
• Maintain a regular maintenance schedule on company trucks.
• Keep trucks clean at all times.
• Keep fuel at an operational level.
• Report any truck issues to Program Manager.
• Work with the Store Manager to coordinate donation/furniture pickups and deliveries as scheduled by the office.
• Pick up aluminum cans, clean bins and recycle the cans.
• Assist pantry in unloading and shelving large food donations.
• Assist with holiday food box drive-throughs when possible.
• Transport holiday bins to and from storage lockers and maintain locker contents for most efficient spacing and retrieval.
• Work with the store in positioning furniture donations for safety and display purposes when possible.
• Assist customers loading and unloading furniture.
• Make determinations regarding acceptable items during donation pickups.
• Provide training and guidance for the truck assistant.
• Ensure the office/store is maintained clean by sweeping and mopping as often as possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Perform maintenance duties as needed.
